08 Jan Beach Survey

During a Beach survey Deep exchanged the boat for a 4WD! With a custom-designed magnetometer survey sledge, that allows the deployment of 4 field magnetometers to record topographic data simultaneously, we scoured the shore landing to locate magnetic anomalies.

To test the detectability of the system, we used an excavator to hide metal objects into the sand. After this successful surrogate test we detected several anomalies.

Further investigation of the acquired data must demonstrate what these hidden treasures are.. maybe a shipwreck or lost a bunker?

Gaining experience over the years Deep has developed various tow configurations to allow deployment of multiple magnetometers. This has put DEEP into a position where the company is able to make “tailor made” client solutions to adapt to their needs.
