IRON LADY ROTV SUCCESFULLY USED ON MULTIPLE PROJECTS

[:nl]

The Iron Lady Remotely Operated Towed Vehicle (ROTV) has been developed by Deep BV to increase the efficiency and data quality during offshore UXO surveys. The system has been successfully used on multiple projects. Now, for the first time,  Deep BV operators managed to fly the ROTV non-stop during a full week (over 187 hours) keeping the system submerged collecting good quality data. In addition to its array of six magnetometers the IL is fitted with auxiliary sensors such as altimeters, pressure sensors, gyro and motion sensor which enables the ROTV to stabilize itself and follow the seabed on a user adjustable height. The system has proved to be saving survey time both by the increased sensor array and its automated seabed tracking capabilities.[:en]
