[:nl]In minder dan twee weken start Hydro 17. De conferentie en beurs vinden plaats op voormalig vlaggenschip van de Holland-Amerika lijn, de SS Rotterdam. Dit jaar is Hydro 17 de 25ste editie van de International Hydrographic Organization conference en exhibition. Traditioneel is dit het evenement waar de hydrografische community elkaar ontmoet en kennis deelt. Deep is aanwezig  met een stand in de Queen’s Lounge, op nummer L6.

Demonstratie Kongsberg

Tijdens de beurs zal Deep demo’s varen met survey boot Gemini voor Kongsberg, een internationaal technologie bedrijf dat systemen en technologieën ontwikkelt voor de maritieme en offshore industrieën. Kongsberg en Deep zullen de EM2024P demonstreren, een multibeam echosounder gebaseerd op de Kongsberg EM 2040 technologie en geschikt voor ondiep water. Tijdens de demo zal op schermen op de SS Rotterdam de real-time data te zien zijn, door gebruik te maken van de Maritime Broadband Radio die een buitengewoon ‘line-of-sight’ operationeel bereik heeft.

This year Hydro 17 will be the 25th edition of the International Hydrographic Organization conference and exhibition. Traditionally this is the event where the hydrographic community connects and shares knowledge.

Deep will be attending Hydro 17 with a stand in the Queen’s Lounge and will be sailing demos with survey vessel Gemini for Kongsberg, an international technology corporation that develops systems and technologies for the maritime and offshore industries.

Kongsberg and Deep will demonstrate the EM2040P, a shallow water multibeam echosounder based on the Kongsberg EM 2040 technology. During the demo the real-time data will be shown on screens at the SS Rotterdam, making use of the Maritime Broadband Radio, which has a beyond line-of-sight operational range.[:]
