SeaZip en Deep zetten met geavanceerd ‘DP1 Ice Class Survey en ROV’ vessel gezamenlijke expertise in de markt

SeaZip Offshore Service uit Harlingen en Deep Hydrography & Geophysics uit Amsterdam exploiteren vanaf half april 2018 gezamenlijk een DP1 Ice Class Survey en ROV schip. Hiermee komen hydrografische en maritieme expertise samen in een robuust schip met een lengte van ruim 42 meter, dat geschikt is voor alle voorkomende survey-activiteiten op volle zee. Het schip, de SeaZip Fix, is standaard bemand met getrainde maritieme professionals en is te huur met of zonder ervaren surveyors. Het uitrustingsniveau voor oppervlakte en onderwater positionering is hoog. Specifieke survey apparatuur, zoals multibeam echolood, sidescan sonar, UXO gradiometer array en sub-bottom profiler, kan aan de bestaande uitrusting worden toegevoegd.

Nu de locaties voor nog aan te leggen windturbineparken steeds verder uit de kust komen te liggen, hebben zowel contractors als survey companies grotere survey schepen nodig. SeaZip en Deep voorzien met ingang van 15 april in die behoefte. Berekend op 24/7 inzetbaarheid

DP1 Ice Class Survey en ROV vessel SeaZip Fix is in 1981 gebouwd in Noorwegen en onderging in 2015 in Denemarken een volledige refit. Het schip is 42.24 meter lang, 10 meter breed en heeft een diepgang van 5 meter. Op het schip bevinden zich 9 eenpersoons- en 6 tweepersoonshutten. Alle elektronica- en controlesystemen zijn in 2015 vervangen; aan alle klasse-verplichtingen is voor de overdracht voldaan. De SeaZip Fix biedt de vereiste stabiliteit voor veilige operationele processen op volle zee – ook bij uitdagende omstandigheden. Dankzij het grote aantal slaapplaatsen is het schip 24/7 inzetbaar.

Hoog survey-uitrustingsniveau

Jurgen Beerens, commercieel directeur Deep: “Wij zijn al langer op zoek naar een groter survey-schip en realiseren ons dat daar andere eisen aan worden gesteld voor scheepsmanagement. De kans om hier samen met SeaZip in te stappen grijpen we aan, omdat we hiermee een unieke propositie hebben: een volwaardig zeeschip met een hoogwaardig uitrustingsniveau voor hydrografisch,  geofysisch en geotechnisch onderzoek. We streven hierbij naar minimale mobilisatie- en demobilisatietijd voor de inhurende partij.”

Arends en Beerens benadrukken dat zij zich met hun gezamenlijke expertise niet alleen richten op full services aan contractors, maar dat het schip met haar bemanning en hoogwaardige survey equipment ook gehuurd kan worden door collega survey companies die opereren op volle zee.

Synergie

SeaZip en Deep werken al langere tijd op projectmatige basis samen. De gezamenlijke aankoop en exploitatie van het DP1 Ice Class Survey en ROV vessel voegt daar een dimensie aan toe, die de markt synergie tussen twee unieke expertises oplevert. SeaZip and Deep put joint skills and expertise into the market using a sophisticated ‘DP1 Ice Class Survey and ROV’ vessel

From mid-April 2018, Harlingen-based SeaZip Offshore Service and Amsterdam-based Deep Hydrography & Geophysics will jointly operate a DP1 Ice Class Survey and ROV vessel. This means that hydrographic and maritime expert knowledge will be combined in a robust vessel of more than 42 metres long which can be used for any survey operations on the open sea. The vessel, the SeaZip Fix, manned with maritime professionals and can be supplemented with experienced surveyors. She has a high level of equipment for surface and underwater positioning. Specific survey equipment can be added to her standard equipment, such as multibeam echo-sounder, a side-scan sonar, a UXO gradiometer array and a sub-bottom profiler.

Now that the locations for building wind turbine parks tend to be at ever greater distances from the coast, both contractors and survey companies need larger survey vessels. Effective from 15 April, SeaZip and Deep will meet this need. Geared for 24/7 operations

The DP1 Ice Class Survey and ROV vessel SeaZip Fix was built in Norway in 1981 and fully refitted in Denmark in 2015. The vessel is 42.24 metres long and 10 metres wide and has a draught of 5-metre. She boasts 9 single and 6 double berths. In 2015, all electronics and control systems were replaced and all class requirements were met before the transfer. The SeaZip Fix provides the stability required for safe operational processes at sea – even in challenging circumstances. Due to the large number of berths, the vessel can be deployed for 24/7 operations.
