Job description

Within the projects department, all survey projects are conducted under the direction of a project manager. Due to the large variation in projects, a dedicated team is set up for each project, both for the data acquisition on board the survey vessels as for the further data processing and reporting, mainly at the office. For multidisciplinary projects and projects with a high data volume, we are looking for a Teamleader Dataprocessing. In this position you are responsible for:

  • The timely delivery of all project deliverables against the quality standard of customer and Deep.
  • Participation in project kick-off and drawing up a plan for data processing and reporting, including necessary quality controls.
  • Monitoring and coordinating the data processing and reporting activities within projects assigned to you and participate / initiate additional project meetings.
  • Coordination with the project manager and in terms of resources with the planner.
  • A good team spirit / effort of the Deepers assigned to you.
  • Participation in project evaluation and contributing to improvement and development.
  • Ensuring that the correct data processing procedures are used, adapted where necessary for specific requirements of your project.
  • Where time is available, you are expected to work along as a cooperative foreman / foreman, for example in reporting, quality checks, or in more technically specific data processing.

Job requirements

  • Experience in offshore survey projects.
  • Experience with dataprocessing software and reporting
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing.

Job description

As Geophysicist at Deep you will be responsible for all geophysical related tasks/aspects of a project. This includes everything from project preparations (geological desktop study, survey planning etc.), execution of the fieldwork and data analysis (QA/QC), to data processing, reporting and charting.

You should be able to collaborate with colleagues as part of a (project) team but also feel comfortable working independently without supervision.

Your core functions are:

  • Executing all kinds of geophysical survey operations in line with internal procedures and external/client specifications;
  • Processing of geophysical survey data, charting and report writing;
  • Maintenance of measuring instruments and all other project survey equipment;
  • Taking care of administrative requirements on project level.

 

Job specification

Deep is looking for someone with the following experience and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Geophysics, Geology or a related Earth Science;
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position;
  • In possession of a valid driver’s license (B, preferably incl. BE);
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and verbal;
  • Core competencies: accurate, very flexible, a team-player, good interpersonal skills.
