15 May Meet the Deep Seapal

The Deep Volans and Locus got a new friend! Meet the Deep Seapal – our newest addition to the Deep fleet

The Deep Seapal will give Deep added capacity for nearshore geophysical survey work, which is one of our specialties where we have our focus on. The vessel is more spacious than any of our other catamarans, ensuring all-around comfort for the online crew, who can completely focus on data acquisition and online QC. In total, the Seapal has workspace for 4 surveyors/geophysicists and 2 client representatives.

During the last months she was converted into a survey vessel @NG Shipyards and being fitted with the latest survey equipment; a hull-mounted dual head multibeam system, full vessel width 1500 kg A-frame for safe deployment of large, towed gradiometer wings for UXO detection surveys as well as a large moonpool capable of deploying multiple other sensors depending on the type of survey work. Furthermore, the Deep Seapal is equipped with CPP systems providing excellent trawling speeds under all circumstances.

Next week she is already off to her first project and we can’t wait to see her in action!
