21 Jun Visit from Aeres University of Applied Sciences
Deep welcomed a group of first-year students from the Bachelor course Geo Media & Design from the Aeres University of Applied Sciences, providing them an orientation on the professional field.
After a cup of coffee, our colleague Ruud Toonen gave a presentation about Deeps expertise and recent projects. This was followed by a tour through Deeps office and construction hangar.
The students took the opportunity to talk with several of our colleagues about their experiences and responsibilities within Deep.
The Bachelor course Geo Media & Design is a combination of cartography, media design and its application to contemporary issues such as climate study, urban planning or social developments. Coming years the students will learn to work with GIS data, with a primarily focus on the visual aspect, and how to combine geography, new media and design into similarly innovative products and services.
The first-year students ended the tour with a fresh prepared lunch in the Deep canteen. Who knows somewhere in the future we will welcome some of them for an internship at Deep!
